Role involves managing recruitment process; apply HR policies; provide confidential and impartial consultation; good relationships with staff and third parties; assisting Payroll team; assist with documentation for disciplinary and grievance hearings; ensure accuracy of HR information; ensure overtime figures sent when required; ensure HR policies and procedures applied fairly; monitor, maintain and update the data base for work licenses; ensure all probations reviews complete; ensure all absence/sickness information updated and followed up; maintain knowledge on employment law updates.
Candidate must be CIPD Qualified with full knowledge of all local employment laws for Jersey and Guernsey and knowledge of UK Best Practice; experience of supporting Managers and staff at all levels in aspects of HR generalist provision; team player with a ‘can do’ attitude; excellent interpersonal, problem solving, report writing and planning skills; ability to analyse data and identify risks/opportunities; can work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
