Head of Risk & Compliance and MLCO
Great role for the right person, to lead and mentor risk and compliance team and manage team development through objectives managed through regular informal dialogue and bi-annual PDR process. Role involves distributing AML/CFT reports and chairing meetings; contributing to policy updating process; taking part in take on process; maintaining compliance registers; being aware of AML/CFT regulations; maintaining risk and compliance framework for the business, working to reduce money laundering and terrorist risk; managing Compliance Monitoring Programme; assessing and ensuring risk framework; reporting on potential risk arising from changes in legislation; analysing business risks within client structures; training staff on risk, compliance and AML culture; monitoring staff compliance with training obligations; supporting staff in managing potential/actual client risk on individual cases.
Candidate should have strong technical knowledge of trust and company administration, Jersey AML legislation, regulatory environment applying to offshore fiduciary business; preferably compliance/professional qualification; high level of experience of the client and other risks inherent within trust business, together with commercial awareness; self motivated; team leader and player; strategic thinker; able to prioritise; excellent communication, analytical, report writing, presentational and problem solving skills; attentive to detail; good MS Office knowledge; working knowledge of finance related AML/CFT related issues.
