Assistant Trust Manager
Our client seeks the ideal candidate to provide quality administration service to a more complex portfolio of offshore trusts and companies on behalf of private clients in order to maximise profits and income targets, maintain high levels of productivity and efficiency, maximise group referrals where appropriate and protect, promote and enhance reputation. He/she will manage and supervise the team and deputise for Team Head during absence; enhance client relationships and provide high level of service to Private Bankers and wealth planners; work effectively with the administration team to create a healthy team spirit; carry out a variety of banking, investment and financial transactions within agreed timescales and in accordance with the trust deeds and administration agreements and policies and procedures; manage Operational Risk; maintain internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators; understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures.
Candidate will be ideally a holder of STEP Diploma/other qualification relevant to trust and company administration; have knowledge of current laws and developments in own industry sector; some tax, investments, accounting and banking knowledge is advantageous; at least 5 years’ experience in trust and company administration; team player; conscientious and self-motivated; ability to organise workload and to prioritise effectively; lateral thinking/problem solving; ability to successfully assist with projects; attention to accuracy and detail; ability to work effectively and accurately under pressure; some client meeting experience; proficient as regards use of basic departmental systems; good numeracy and interpersonal skills.
Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
