Description

Great role opportunity to be jointly responsible for set-up/on-boarding and subsequent on-going accounting of private equity funds, ensuring compliance with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, fund documentation and applicable accounting standards; be a Private Equity specialist for the Fund Services business and be jointly responsible for the fund valuation, investor reporting, capital accounts, quarterly statements, supporting schedules, working papers and accounting services provided to the client; ensure that the provision of accounting services are aligned with the client SLAs, all internal and external deadlines are considered and met and all operational policies, procedures and checklists are followed; review fund documentation relating to launch of new funds; oversee reconciliation process for cash, stock, shares/units issued and ensure all breaks identified cleared and in accordance with KPI; involvement with auditors; assist with regulatory and tax information; prepare/review performance fees, rates of return, drawdowns and distribution calculations; assist with continuous review of existing processes; assist with training; execute group projects for new product accounting and operations; assist with in-house fund accounting to meet future market requirements.

Requirements are to be ACCA/ACA qualified; excellent working knowledge of fund accounting practices and standards, particularly IFRS, UK GAAP and US GAAP; excellent delegation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise a high volume of time sensitive tasks quickly and appropriately; ability to review and manage a high volume of documentation quickly and to check all relevant details; sound analytical skills; strong problem solving skills with an excellent awareness of commercial and risk management based client solutions; excellent working knowledge of fund structures and fund cash flows; excellent working understanding of various types of PE transactions; attention to detail; experience in finance industry and specially in private equity fund accounting preparation; experience in people management.

Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
