The purpose of this role is to account for a complex and varied portfolio of fund structures in conjunction with the Associate Director, Accounting / Director of Accounting, reviewing all aspects of accounting matters for a team incorporating investor reports, statutory financial statements and ad-hoc investor queries and acting as higher authority on day-to-day accounting queries and as 4-eyes signatory on accounting matters.  Candidate will manage audit process for all clients and build strong relationships with audit firms; attend client board meetings and present quarterly financial information; review preparation and reconciliation of periodic direct and indirect tax returns, and liaise with foreign tax advisors; ensure accounting requirements and reporting deadlines for whole team are met, overseeing planning, scheduling, and monitoring of workloads; act as mentor to Financial Reporting Managers and supervise and assist in training and development of staff; arrange and manage appraisal process for reporting lines.

Candidate will be expected to hold ACCA/ACA; at least 6 years financial services experience; sound technical financial services knowledge; IT and spreadsheet skills; excellent interpersonal skills are required to develop close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts; strong people management experience; evidence of managing a major client relationship; quick to learn new system; training, both in house for relevant technical knowledge and also for professional qualifications, will be provided.

Five years continuous residence in Jersey required.
