Description
Exciting opportunity to join a growing team providing UK tax compliance and advisory services to clients, ensuring team motivation and responsible for own portfolio of complex and diverse clients. The postholder will review and prepare UK tax returns to deadlines; liaise with HMRC regarding tax queries; take ownership of advisory/ research work; monitor own and department’s WIP and assist with departmental billings; ensure KPIs are met, with assistance from team; review work prepared by team and coach and develop staff; understand client base and build relationships to ensure client retention and growth; understand products and services and identify opportunities to cross-sell and aid success and growth; pro-actively participate in business development activities and build relationships.
The successful candidate will ideally have at least 5 years’ relevant experience (not essential) and a professional qualification, ideally ATT and/or CTA (or part qualified); individuals with UK Corporate Tax experience are particularly sought after as are those with experience in UK taxation as it applies to UK property owning structures (not essential); our client is interested to receive applications from individuals with UK private client, IHT, VAT and trust tax experience and from individuals who may be at Assistant Manager or Senior Manager level. Applicants must have initiative and lateral thinking and be a team player, able to work independently with flexible and proactive attitude; possess excellent analytical, problem solving, organisation and time management skills; must be committed to client service.
